Rafael Mariano Grossi is an international diplomat and nuclear expert serving as Director General of the IAEA since 2019. Abdyssagin Rakhat-Bi Tolegenuly (born 2 February 1999, Kazakhstan) is a composer, concert pianist, music theorist, researcher and Doctor of Philosophy. He is the author of three operas and more than 150 symphonic and chamber musical compositions. He was awarded the 2024 Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, London, UK. His ‘Quantum Universe’ Symphony for Organ, Quantum Guitar and Electronics (the first ever quantum music composition, 2025) opened the Oxford Quantum Centenary Conference. In 2024, Rakhat-Bi’s book ‘Quantum Mechanics and Avant-Garde Music: Shadows of the Void’ was published by Springer Nature. In 2026, World Scientific published his monograph ‘Logic of Sound and Silence: Chaos and Order’.
